Wife’s 3 series needs a new steering rack as the u-joints in the current one are going bad, added to that there is a leak in the A/C system so all the freon has leaked out... I. Fucking. Hate. That. Heap. Of. Shit.
That turd costs more to maintain then both my X-Type and Discovery combined... yeah let that roll around in your head for a bit.
That’s a whole lot of stuff I could do with my Series restoration project.
Gott verdammt Deutschen...

If that is any consolation to you, my mum’s E39 is at our indie BMW specialist right now. The flywheel decided it didn’t want to be “dual-mass” anymore and took out a few other bits in its vicinity. €2300 or $2600, just like that, gone, burned, like it never existed.

Modest proposal: replace 3-series running gear with full Disco/RRC drivetrain. Enjoy ultimate climbing machine.

That’s how much a new cat and four O2 sensors cost on my wife’s Sable... That was also about what the car was worth.

Or maybe the new Jag XE, I mean my Jag hasn’t done me wrong and it’s from the era where Jag’s reliability was terrible. Tata has done some good things with Jaguar Land Rover recently.
